Virginia Rivera is a highly accomplished and dedicated business professional serving as a member of the Board of Trustees in FRPS. With extensive experience as a Certified Business Mentor, Coach, and Consultant, Virginia has made significant contributions to the field where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership for over 20 years. She is also a media proprietor and a partner in the renowned business conglomerate, Peeyush Group. In 2016, Virginia co-founded the international NGO, Mujer Emprende Latina, with a mission to provide free business and entrepreneurial education to women worldwide, empowering them to start their own businesses and achieve economic autonomy. The organization has provided education to more than 65,000 women and has assisted in launch of more than 5,000 women led Start-up enterprises. Under her guidance, Virginia has successfully established four different business programs under SOLApreneurs, her personal brand, operating in Puerto Rico, the USA, Peru, and very soon in India. Additionally, she has developed a financial literacy program called “My First Lemonade Stand” for children aged 4 to 8. As the current President of the World Education Policy, Virginia firmly believes in the transformative power of education to uplift, empower, and prepare individuals for a sustainable future. In 2023, she joined the esteemed Peeyush Group as the Vice President, overseeing business and social initiatives such as International Internship University, James International School, and Metro E-Village in Kunda, India. Virginia’s motto is that education has the ability to break barriers, challenge inequalities, and create a brighter and more equitable world. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Dance and Dance Therapy from Columbia College of Chicago, a postgraduate degree in Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Management from the Chicago Cooking Academy, an MBA specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Singapore Business School, and a Doctorate in Philosophy & Leadership in Women’s Economic Empowerment from Universidad de Venezuela. She is also certified as a Life Coach by the International Coaching Federation, a Business Leadership Coach by Universidad Anáhuac Mexico, and an Entrepreneur Mentor Developer by Georgia Tech University.
